Green Bay Girl Choir Event - ART SONG - Sunday, April 3, 2011

These two items will be donated for the Green Bay Girl Choir Art Song event.  My daughter, Emma, has been singing with the Girl Choir for 3 years.  This is one of their bigger fundraisers.  Last year I donated a necklace and matching bracelet.  This year, the garden bracelet with be my single donation.  The pop tab purse will be lined by my friend Mary and done as a double donation since her daughter also sings in the choir.

If anyone is interested in details to attend the Art Song event, feel free to contact me at 920-536-0414.

The Pop Tab Purse

Here is the pop tab purse that I wired the tabs together.  It was very labor intensive and difficult to put the pieces together.  The lining was sewn and quilted by my friend Mary.  The next step is to hand stitch the lining in and add the handles.  Hopefully the finished product will be posted by the end of February!

Wedding Jewelry

I was asked to make some jewelry pieces that would be taken to the wedding show in Green Bay the first weekend in February.  Sheila, the owner of Rocks of Ages in Luxemburg, offered to take my items with her.  I was very excited by this opportunity.  I found out about the show and had 14 days to make the items, so I've been very busy with these items.  I also have others that are not pictured here.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about the items.

Bracelets, Bracelets, Bracelets

gunmetal gray 4mm bugle beads
bronze and copper 4 mm faceted
brown and tan peyote beads
green and blue 4mm faceted
3 tones of blues in 4mm faceted
black and purple 4mm faceted

I started making these bracelets last week and just kept going!  With the exception of the bracelet with the peyote beads, the remaining bracelets are all done in a Russian Spiral.  I had lots of fun changing the accent beads in the center and watching the different colors and designs emerge.  All of these bracelets will be added to my inventory and are ready for sale.  The Russian Spirals are $18 each (two or more are $16 each) and the peyote bead bracelet is available for $20.

Wisconsin Rug

Last Saturday, a friend asked me to make a "Wisconsin" rug for her to give as a Christmas gift....I hesitated when I thought it was already the second weekend in December, but agreed to try to get it finished.  The massive snow storm that arrive Saturday night kept us grounded all day Sunday.  Monday morning arrived and the roads were still bad enough for school to be canceled.  I took full advantage of the time at home and was able to finish the rug by Monday afternoon.

Triangle Bead Necklace

This necklace is similar to two others I have posted that are sold.  I have found this pattern to be liked by many customers.  This particular necklace uses a 'bead soup' mixture of three different color triangle beads for the tubular part of the necklace.  The accent beads are tiger's eye and have lots of detail in the striations of browns and golds.  The new creation is available for $50.

Lentil Beads - my newest passion!

I have begun using 6 mm lentil beads that are drilled off center. This allows the beads to "stand up" to give the bracelet extra texture.  The top bracelet is 1 inch wide and lays flat on the arm.  The colors remind me of sea glass.  The bottom bracelet is a tube with a magnetic clasp.  The colors range from some gray to black and amethyst.  It's perfect with a plum colored sweater or blouse.  Both bracelets are available to purchase for $50 each.
